Saudi Arabia, India Explore Partnership Opportunities with TATA Group

Saudi Arabia is now looking into possible collaborations with the TATA Group of India in a number of areas, such as electronics, aviation, and the military. The Kingdom's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, met with officials from TATA Group companies, including TATA Steel, TATA Defense, and TATA Electronics, to talk about potential partnerships.

  • The meetings were held during Alkhorayef's February 3–6, 2025, visit to India with the intention of enhancing industrial cooperation and drawing in high-value investments.
  • Alkhorayef described Saudi Vision 2030's objectives for economic diversification and emphasized the industrial sector's potential for investment. 
  • Tata Defense CEO Sukaran Singh highlighted the company's proficiency in planning, constructing, and running military plants while showcasing its goods, which included military vehicles and planes. 
  • Tata Steel CEO TV Narendran demonstrated the company's capacity to export supplies for the supply chain, automotive, and construction industries.
  • The National Industrial Development Center in Saudi Arabia and Tata Electronics also talked about possible cooperation to advance the Kingdom's semiconductor sector. 

On February 4, a previous agreement was made to improve collaboration in the vital minerals sector.

In November, TATA Motors celebrated its 30th anniversary in the Kingdom, where it is already functioning. India was the Kingdom's second-most popular destination for non-oil exports in November, with shipments totaling SR2.52 billion ($670 million).
